The group known as Wynder K. Frog were originally from Salford, Manchester, were signed to Island records and managed by Chris Blackwell. According to drummer Ian Cooper, on this track the line up was:
Norman Mather (gtr), Alan Peake (bass), Mick Weaver (keyboards), Bill Simmons (saxophone), Ron Carthy (tpt) and Ian Cooper (drums).
It is not known whether the restored image, which is undated, is of the same line up, can anyone help, please?
Mick Weaver was born in Bolton, Lancashire, England on 16 June 1944 and became a session musician, mainly known for playing the Hammond B3 organ. Wynder K Frog were popular on the student union and club circuit in the mid 1960s and for a time merged with another band, Herbie Goins and the Night Timers.
