Singer and producer Jacquelene Edwards, nee Baldain (Jackie Day) was born in Eudora, Arkansas, on February 8, 1938 and grew up in San Francisco. With the help of her manager Maxwell Davis, she recorded a number of singles for Modern in the mid-60s, and went on to record for Paula and Specialty.
Jackie Day died in a Los Angeles convalescent home after a long illness on January 4, 2007.
